white noise

about an hour ago mr. dtf and i were sitting in an overly crowded building on campus attempting to finish up some last minute homework. since actual chairs were few and far between we sat at a table that already had a gentleman sitting at it. he had head phones in so we assumed it would be a decent choice, but little did we know what we were about to hear. 

i described it as sounding like the kind of hard core death metal music that people constantly make fun of, but mr. dtf knew right away. he was listening to white noise. LOUD white noise. white noise escaping from his head phones. i know for sure because when he got up to use the loo i peaked at his computer screen and saw a youtube video open titled "12 hours of white noise." what the...? tell me people, is this normal?

in other news, tonight is date night at p.f. changs {booyah} AND tommorow we getta see mr. dtf's fambam AND it's general conference weekend {read about it here} which means breakfast burritos and accidentally sleeping through all of the female speakers' talks {my bad}!
